One of the classics of the NES, Bubble Bobble is a game that every retro gamer should play at least once in their life. Originally on an Arcade platform, later on it was ported to several other systems, including the NES, and never lost its charm. It featured a very original game-play style, a kind of action puzzler/platformer.

The graphics match the cheerful mood, a simple yet whimsical atmosphere about as you're playing, and they are quite good for this old system. The cartoony sounds match everything well also, even if the theme song is probably the only one you'll hear most of the time. But it's so classic and fits the mood. Taito definitely has made their mark in the gaming industry with Bubble Bobble, and you'll be hard pressed to find anything more unique. A recommendation for all gamers!

There are a lot of levels, monsters, bonuses, and power-ups which made for some great gameplay. The gameplay was also unique in that each level was one screen that you could jump around in. If there was a hole at the bottom, you could fall down it, and you would come out the top. Also, you could go up the top, and come out the bottom. This game is a lot of fun and highly addictive.

HURRY BUBBY! After a certain amount of time the islands will sink and there will be no one left to save! Along the way Bubby will have many adventures and get into all kinds of trouble. You must help Bubby make decisions that could determine the fate of all the islanders. Good luck Bubby!

Bubble Bobble 2 is a pretty fun game. The gameplay is almost as entertaining as the first installment. The graphics are pretty good. There is a lot of use of bright colors and you can tell the animation and drawing were done by the same programmers as the first Bubble Bobble. The sound effects and music are kinda cheesy, but they are also reminiscent of the first installment. The controls are easy to learn and they are also pretty much the same as the first one, so if you've already played Bubble Bobble, you can pick this one right up. The story is kinda corny, but most of them are. There are several secrets to find including secret levels which adds to the replayability factor, and the difficulty in completing the game.

Bust-A-Move was also known as Puzzle Bobble, a reference to its stars, Bubby and Bobby, and their original appearance in the Bubble Bobble series of games. Bust-A-Move isn't much like those games, though. This is a puzzle game in which you try to eliminate different colored bubbles on the screen by getting at least three of the same color side by side. The idea of this relatively simple puzzle game has become extremely popular on the Internet recently, in many variations such as Dynomite, Pop and Drop, and that Snood game everybody was playing a while back.
